The Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) Program 2024/2025 Application is open for all the young youth of Nigerians and Africa of the world. The program is an early to mid-career development program for Nigerian-based young professionals across sectors.
The Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative, CYFI, is a dynamic youth-based initiative launched in 2011 by the U.S. Consulate General, Lagos. CYFI brings together Nigerian youth of exceptional vision, skills, and experience to design and implement projects that will have a positive impact on Nigerian society.
The inspiration for CYFI, former Ambassador to Nigeria, Walter Carrington, was a champion of civil liberties, democracy, and closer ties between the U.S. and Nigeria. CYFI fellows are committed to putting the ideals of Walter Carrington into practice.
The program has a very defined mission which is to solely empower youth in Nigeria to promote civil liberties, good governance, public health, education, and entrepreneurship.
The Application to Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) Program 2024/2025 has its Opening: May 27, 2024 and Closing: June 21, 2024.
The Carrington Fellowship program is a community-based one-year-long professional development program for entry to mid-level professionals.

Fellows develop core leadership, communication, and programs management skills, improve their network, and get mentored.
This year, we welcome passionate young individuals from every corner of the 36 states in Nigeria to have a wider spread and impact.
Who is eligible to apply For Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) Program 2024/2025
This is the first consideration any body who wish to apply to the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) Program 2024/2025 should consider. You need to know if you have every qualification before you can begin your application into the program fully.
I will be dropping the criteria’s below so you can check if you are eligible or not;
- The applicants Are to be between the ages of 18 and 30 on or before the application deadline;
- The applicant also must also be a verified Nigerians who live in any of the 36 States;
- You must be very good and proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English;
- Applicants must make sure they are not in any way, alumni of the Carrington Fellowship.
- You must also be present and readily available to participate in the one-year-long program both virtual and physical boot camp.
