According to the reports reaching Dailyjit, it was said that he died this afternoon 10th April 2024 while filming in Asaba Delta state capital.
Junior Pope Odonwodo, popularly called Jnr Pope Was seen on a boat cruise. He went on a boat cruise where the boat got capsized and and he, alongside two other yet-to-be-identified actors, drowned. His body was recovered and rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
It was confirmed dead after taken to the hospital and now has been placed in a morgue. Fans all over is now crying and some shouting its all a prank but according to the report from the hospital, this is real, The Nollywood actor Junior Pope Odonwodo, popularly called Jnr Pope is dead!
The death of Junior Pope is now the latest in a string of tragedies that has hit the Nollywood this year. Last month it was Mr. Ibu and Sisi Quadri who passed on.
In the month of January 2024, it was Deji Aderemi, popularly known as Olofa Ina, and also in the month of February it was Ethel Ekpe who is well known for playing the role of ‘Segi’ on the Nigerian Television Authority sitcom, ‘Basi and Company.
This is indeed a tragedy to Nollywood at large. Lots of people now say they do not know what exactly has come upon the Nollywood actors and actresses. This is a very disturbing thing and needs to be taking serious.
The chairman of the AGN ASABA Delta State , Mr. Emma Onyemeziem, confirmed that the corpse had been deposited in the morgue.
The question is now, what exactly can be the solution or what could be the crime the Nollywood Actor and Actresses has committed?. These questions needs answer and solutions because if nothing is done, more souls may still GO.
